Analog Doodles, Digital Color
I wanted to share a grouping of examples from a new process I’ve been working on: Drawing with pen or marker on paper, and then bringing it into Illustrator for coloring. Now—I’m not the first person to do this, I’m sure, but this feels like a major breakthrough for me, since I don’t have a drawing tablet currently, and drawing with a mouse just doesn’t work for me. By doing this, I get to use my artistic style and flow by drawing naturally, while still getting a crisp finish color-wise.
