Etching Self-Portrait

I was such a fan of the way that the hatching turned out on my charcoal self-portrait that I decided to recreate it as an etching for a print trade that I am taking part in.

The theme of the trade is “Six Degrees of Separation”, or the idea that all people are six or fewer social connections away from each other. I figured a self-portrait would be perfect for this concept, seeing as many of the folks that will be receiving these prints are people I have never met before. In receiving this, we will have a connection.
